At the end of the day...

I guess at the end of the day when all has been said and done, I have learned that there are companies among us that thrive on others. They are the kinds of companies that gladly take your money but do not contract with anyone for services rendered. Since they do not contract with anyone for anything they can not be held accountable for anything to anyone. A company that is like a ghost. It can be allowed to talk in silence with another company that is known for failing to respond to complaints. For their advertising being grossly misleading and/or for not being in compliance with the law’s, licensing or registration requirements. Their complaints contain especially serious allegations, or the company’s industry is known for its fraudulent business practices. I googled this information and obtained it from the Better Business Bureau. Cinergy Health, Inc. can legally take your money and sell you a Limited Medical Policy...I'm sorry, let me get back on track.

These companies do not care who you are! They provide you with a membership number and as long as you pay for the coupon book of providers you get to keep your membership number. For that membership number I paid $241.00 a month. This is NOT INSURANCE! This is the equivalent of getting one of those little blue envelopes in the mail every once in a while filled with useless coupons. I did not need my carpets cleaned or an oil change. I did not need four tires (Buy 3 and 1 Free). I needed a Limited Medical Policy as a laid off, unemployed citizen of the United Stated of America and actually thought that Cinergy Health, Inc. was doing a great thing in bad economical times. Well, the Consumer Driven Benefit Association of America (Cinergy Health, Inc. as Agents) advised that they would, "Exceed My Benefit Expectations". I must admit that statement was not a lie.

So, before you go to bed this evening think about if you really want to be a member of such a thing called a Limited Medical Plan. Yes, they will throw fancy words at you like GOLD Elite Plus Plan or Preferred 1000 member. They throw around word like Consumer Driven Benefit Association of America and Cinergy Health, Inc. As long as you understand that they have nothing at all to do with anything remotely related to MEDICAL INSURANCE you should be able to sleep okay.

I will sleep very well tonight because I will no longer be giving Cinergy Health, Inc. my business and I have since obtained REAL medical insurance. It pays to shop around and yes, it does cost slightly more than these coupon clubs. I now also have dental, vision and hearing. REAL INSURANCE! The phrase: "At no cost to you," is a lie. Everything cost.

I know that times are hard out there for most of us. I felt hurt that a company would be allowed to treat me in this grossly negligent manner with such a total disregarding demeanor. I personally wanted to release my frustration and anger with these companies in this form. Although, I welcome your comments, I am more concerned with spreading the word to other people that might not have all the facts and fall victim to the scorpions out there.

Please forward this blog to anyone that you feel would benefit from the information.

Live in Peace

The Moral Of This Story Is......

If a scorpion tells you that it won't sting you, do not believe it. It is in its nature to do so. It is this author's opinion that Cinergy Health, Inc. is that scorpion and with a total disregard for the health of its members blatantly canceled policies. I just want to type that again, "With a total disregard for the health of its members BLATANTLY canceled policies!!

STOP EVERYTHING !

Four days after Cincergy Health, Inc. removed my money from my bank account. I received the following email from them. I feel for those that do not have a computer, because as a former "Preferred 1000 member" we didn't even warrant a phone call.

" We regret to inform you that the insurance company is not accepting Health Essentials applications through Cinergy Health, Inc. agents and the limited indemnity medical plan is not available to you. As a result we will be canceling this transaction and refunding any and all monies that you paid."

note: As of this writing I have yet to see a refund. 02/13/10. They have had my money for 09 days.

They go on the say, " Therefore this transaction is considered null and void."

And I really love this part, " However, you should also consider alternative insurance options that may be available to you in your area to secure adequate medical coverage."

Cinergy Health has my money, dropped my insurance (If you want to call it that) and they are concerned that I have adequate medical coverage!! Is there something wrong with this picture?

I LOVE A HAPPY ENDING !

CONGRATULATIONS!

You are now the proud owner of the Health Essential Limited Indemnity Medical plan, underwritten by the United States Fire Insurance Company. I became a member of this plan, simply out of frustration and distress, on February 04, 2010. It only cost me $248.00 and some change, which they immediately withdrew from my bank account, probably before we even hung up the phone!

Legal Question?

Can an Agency (Cinergy Health, Inc.) contract with a company that is known to be harmful by the BBB (F rating)(California)(See WIMG, Inc.)and replace the prior contract with an unauthorized underwriter? How can the Agency be allowed to sell Californian's the equivalent of a coupon book as a Limited Medical Policy? What I mean (exactly) is how can an Agent be allowed to cover under cloak of darkness with an unauthorized underwriter and sell what they call a Limited Medical Policy to Californian's?. I do not even want to discuss the laps in coverage that this negligence has caused me.

If anyone out there has the legal expertise, please comment. It appears that all of Cinergy Health's Customer Service Representative can say is, "We're sorry for any inconvenience." "We don't know who the new underwriter will be at this time." You will be receiving a phone call directly from the underwriter of your new policy." "You have to speak with the underwriter as WE DO NOT SELL INSURANCE!"

WAIT! THE BEST IS YET TO COME.

An Act of Kindness

QUOTE:

"ALTHOUGH NOT REQUIRED TO LEGALLY DO SO, AS A COURTESY TO YOU, USL WILL EXTEND YOUR COVERAGE UNTIL FEBRUARY 15, 2010 OR UNTIL THE LAST DAY PREMIUM WAS PAID FOR YOU - WHICHEVER COMES FIRST."

UNQUOTE:

Thanks USL... I think!

If you have a so called Limited Medical Plan with Cinergy Health, Inc. call their Customer Service department.

Cinergy Health Member Services Department: (866) 508-7526
Cinergy Health Sales Department: (877) 813-8375

It is funnier than an I Love Lucy rerun. At least Lucy had a bigger vocabulary than, "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, Ricky."

WOW! Wait... It get's even better! Start popping the popcorn!

It's Not My Fault

Quote:
"We also believe that the information CDBAA sent to you misrepresented the ratings information of USL, the pre-existing conditions clause and other benefits of our limited medical policies."
Unquote:

You want to talk about covering your own A** (Hereby referred to as: CYOA)

This ridicules explanation goes on to say:

Quote:
"We understand that CDBAA is looking for a replacement carrier for your coverage."

WAIT !!! IT GETS EVEN BETTER !!

It has come to our attention !

This was sent to all policy holders by American General Life Companies. I sincerely feel that they are most elegant in their text with a total disregard:
Quote:
It has come to out attention that you may have been issued a certificate of insurance for a limited medical policy underwritten by the United States Life Insurance Company in the city of New York (USL). The organization that issued this certificate was the Consumer Driven Benefit Association of America (CDBAA). CDBAA's policy with USL has been cancelled (UK spelling) effective January 15, 2010. and we believe CDBAA may not have notified you of this fact.
Unquote.

Quote:
Please be advised that USL will no longer have an association with CDBAA and its management.
Unquote.

LOL! Just wait. It is going to get better !!!

Welcome to the new club!

The objective data is that Cinergy Health, Inc., at a cost of approximately $250.00 a month (for me) enrolled all of its member in what is virtually a coupon club that was not authorized to underwrite Discounted Medical Plans as verified by the Better Business Bureau as of January 27, 2009.

You can only imagine what the happened next !!!

WOW! I never knew I was so lucky.

My new Limited Medical Policy provided by Cinergy Health, Inc. as the agent for the Consumer Driven Benefit Association of America, at no additional cost to me, other than the $241.00 per month that they charge me, also provides these ELITE Membership Benefits. It is important to note that these benefits were not discussed when they were selling me a Limited Medical Policy. Look at everything that I get with my Limited Medical Policy.

Dental Care

Suddenly, with CDBAA, our Cinergy Health Preferred 1000 dental care program which was provided at no additional cost to me turned into a website where I can purchase discounted dental products. I have added a link to this website as a demonstration of how easy it really is. But remember, it was provided at no additional cost!

Authors note: The link to www.dentist.net is not provided as part of this consumer complaint action. Please note that the Better Business Bureau has "Zero" complaints against Dentist.com and I would encourage you to utilize their services, should you so desire. They are a reputable discount service provider for EVERYONE! Not just members of any Limited Medical Plan.

Important Information

Your Limited Medical Policy through the United States Life Insurance Company is being cancelled.

I thought that it was funny that the United States Life Insurance Company used a British spelling of the word canceled. Maybe they should use spell check??

We were not amused.

I have to wonder what USL knew about CDBAA that Cinergy Health, Inc. did not. Maybe they googled the Better Business Bureau. What a concept!

Then Came The Day

Abruptly and without notice all members discovered that they were no longer members of the Cinergy Health Preferred 1000 plan of which National Congress of Employers was the policy holder. We were all going to become members of the Consumer Driven Benefits Association of America. This company is known by the Better Business Bureau as WIMG, Inc.

Company Rating F
BBB's opinion of what this rating means:
We strongly question the company’s reliability for reasons such as that they have failed to respond to complaints, their advertising is grossly misleading, they are not in compliance with the law’s licensing or registration requirements, their complaints contain especially serious allegations, or the company’s industry is known for its fraudulent business practices.

As of the BBB's last verification on January 27, 2009, this company is not licensed with the Department of Managed Health Care to provide Discount Health Care Plans. To contact the Department of Managed Health Care, California residents may visit their website at the link above, or call 1-888-466-2219.

Thanks, Cinergy Health, Inc. for throwing all of your "Preferred Customers" to the wolves. My question for you is how can you obtain an underwriter with a F rating by the BBB and who is not licensed to sell Discount Health Care Plans as verified on January 27, 2009, issue a Gold Elite Plus Plan with an effective date of 11/01/09 through your agency? Am I missing something here! Check it out for yourselves. See the link BBB/CDBBA above.

But wait...It get's even better !

There are no results for Cinergy Plans,Inc.
There are no results for Cinergy Health Insurance Agency, Inc.

The reason that I provided you with this information is because if you go to Cinergy Health's website they indicate that they are a accredited business with the BBB. They actually linked it to the same link that I have provided. Look at it for yourself. It says in plain letters:

This company is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau. This fact does not disparage the company in any way.

IF THEY CAN'T EVEN MANAGE THEIR WEBSITE, HOW CAN I EXPECT THEM TO MANAGE MY HEALTH CARE !!!

How nice of Cinergy Health to provide you with a link to file a complaint against them with the Better Business Bureau. If they know how to remove the link, please feel free to use the one that I provided.

10 months and $2410.00 later.....

Everything, with the exception of unemployment after being laid off, was just okay in the life of this 45 year old man. With the exception of controlled high blood pressure, life was moving forward. Looking back at it now, I basically paid Cinergy Health, Inc. $2410.00 to be a part of their "Preferred 1000 (at no additional cost to me) prescription savings program." So after I found one of their "Preferred Providers" and made a doctors appointment, he assigned the prescriptions and I went on my happy way for about six month.....and then the fun really begins.

Cinergy Health, Inc.

I must express my sincere regret in conducted business with Cinergy Health, Inc. What this company has done to me is beyond explanation. It was not only a complete lack of professionalism- it was a complete Customer Service meltdown. I will tell you what this company has personally inflicted on me, while providing you with some valuable resources. For those of you who live in the state of California, the first link is to Mr. Steve Poizner, our Insurance Commissioner.

On 03/01/09 I joined the Cinergy Health Preferred Individual 1000 Plan. (Sounds impressive, doesn’t it?) It was advertised as a Limited Medical Insurance Plan. I paid the $50.00 administrative, non-refundable fee and $241.00 per month. I did this gladly and of my own volition thinking that I was now a “Preferred Person”. Well, lets just say that I prefer to reserve my statements about “The Preferred Difference” that Cinergy Health, Inc. has made in my life It is important to note that Cinergy Health, Inc. also does business as “Cinergy Plans, Inc. (AL, TX, ND & NH), “Cinergy Health Insurance Agency, Inc.” (CA) and “ Cinergy Health and Life, Inc.” (KY, ME).

CINERGY HEALTH PRESCRIPTIONS AND DENTAL CARE
Cinergy Health Preferred 1000 members receive prescriptions and dental care savings at no additional cost. This is what I call the “New Gangs of America” What pharmacy or dentist wouldn’t want to participate in the Cinergy Health Preferred 1000 Plan. They all get together and become participating discount providers. Think about it. This is provided at no cost to you. I personally look at it as Cinergy Health, Inc. as the gang leader and all of the participating discount providers as their gang members.

Read the fine print: “The discount dental and prescription drug services provide discount at certain health care providers for medical services but do not make payments directly to the providers of medical services.”

I just thought of it as a little bit of something is better than nothing at all. I hope that I have made myself clear here. This is a participating provider discount program, which really amounts to nothing at all. It sure does look good on paper, though.

For reasons of expediency and to assist with your review of this company, please visit ComplaintsBoard.com at the link provided for your convenience.

See for yourself what the people are saying about this completely unprofessional company and then you decide if you want to give them your hard earned money.
I personally would suggest that you contact the Better Business Bureau if you, like I, have been given the “Preferred 1000” treatment by Cinergy Health, Inc.

There is the link for your convenience.
