I must express my sincere regret in conducted business with Cinergy Health, Inc. What this company has done to me is beyond explanation. It was not only a complete lack of professionalism- it was a complete Customer Service meltdown. I will tell you what this company has personally inflicted on me, while providing you with some valuable resources. For those of you who live in the state of California, the first link is to Mr. Steve Poizner, our Insurance Commissioner.

On 03/01/09 I joined the Cinergy Health Preferred Individual 1000 Plan. (Sounds impressive, doesn’t it?) It was advertised as a Limited Medical Insurance Plan. I paid the $50.00 administrative, non-refundable fee and $241.00 per month. I did this gladly and of my own volition thinking that I was now a “Preferred Person”. Well, lets just say that I prefer to reserve my statements about “The Preferred Difference” that Cinergy Health, Inc. has made in my life It is important to note that Cinergy Health, Inc. also does business as “Cinergy Plans, Inc. (AL, TX, ND & NH), “Cinergy Health Insurance Agency, Inc.” (CA) and “ Cinergy Health and Life, Inc.” (KY, ME).
CINERGY HEALTH PRESCRIPTIONS AND DENTAL CARE
Cinergy Health Preferred 1000 members receive prescriptions and dental care savings at no additional cost. This is what I call the “New Gangs of America” What pharmacy or dentist wouldn’t want to participate in the Cinergy Health Preferred 1000 Plan. They all get together and become participating discount providers. Think about it. This is provided at no cost to you. I personally look at it as Cinergy Health, Inc. as the gang leader and all of the participating discount providers as their gang members.
Read the fine print: “The discount dental and prescription drug services provide discount at certain health care providers for medical services but do not make payments directly to the providers of medical services.”
I just thought of it as a little bit of something is better than nothing at all. I hope that I have made myself clear here. This is a participating provider discount program, which really amounts to nothing at all. It sure does look good on paper, though.

See for yourself what the people are saying about this completely unprofessional company and then you decide if you want to give them your hard earned money.
I personally would suggest that you contact the Better Business Bureau if you, like I, have been given the “Preferred 1000” treatment by Cinergy Health, Inc.
